Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring on my tour?

Bring the credit card used for booking, along with with the ID to match, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, a towel, a light sweater and a camera. We provide water, but feel free to bring additional refreshments.

Are children allowed on your tours?

Different tours/destinations have different age limits. Our Rose Island tour is available for ages 1 and up. Our Exuma Swimming Pig Excursion is available for ages 2 and up, and our Spanish Wells Pigs Excursion is available for ages 2 and up.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes of course! We are fully licensed through the Bahamas Port Department under commercial boat registration and are also fully insured. If you or your company would like further proof before coming on board with us, please contact us directly and we’d be happy to provide documentation!

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes! All of our vessels have on board restrooms. We also have a private restroom at your check in location to use before departure.

Are your tours safe?

Yes! All of our boats have been fully inspected and approved by the governing bodies in The Bahamas. In addition, our crew is fully knowledgeable and certified in emergency services and first aid. All of our crew hold Captains Licenses and are STCW certified.

What if there is bad weather on the day of my tour?

We constantly assess weather conditions and in the event that we have to cancel a tour we do our best to get you on board for another day. If this is not possible, we will provide a full refund. Refunds will only be granted if we cancel the tour due to weather. The Captain has the final call on weather.

Will I get sea sick?

Due to the forward motion of our powerboats, very rarely will you get sea sick unless you suffer from extreme motion sickness. Normally slower fishing boats that roll side to side make you sick but our powerboats don't have that rolling motion. If you are worried about seasickness then we suggest you eat only a light meal and avoid alcohol before departure to help prevent symptoms. You may also want to consider anti-motion sickness tablets.

What if I arrive late the day of my excursion?

Due to a strict schedule, and out of respect for other passengers, we are unable to hold the boat if you are late. No refund will be processed for late passengers.

Are there restrictions on who can participate?

We offer high speed powerboat tours. We regret that our powerboat trips are not suitable for expectant mothers, infants or persons with back, knee or neck problems, heart problems or conditions affected by high speed travel. We recommend all participants to be physically fit. Participants must be able to understand basic English. If you may have difficulty boarding the boat, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

At Aqua Shores, we’re passionate about the Bahamas and thrilled to share our stunning islands with you!
